Mission
We are tenacious and trailblazing — advocating for women and girls since 1881 and into the future!
Profile
AAUW is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Since our founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political.
For 100 years and counting, the Manhattan Branch of AAUW has provided members with enriching opportunities for professional and personal growth, life-long learning, networking, and socializing through our many activities. Most recently, the Branch has gained recognition for its celebration of International Women’s Day held each year in March. The Manhattan Branch was established in 1920 and is currently one of five in Kansas.
