Specific Need
Thank you for supporting victims and survivors on Grow Green Match Day! Your support helps foster a community where people experiencing abuse and violence can find safety, security, help, hope, and healing through our services.
Your support to the Crisis Center, Inc. on Grow Green Match Day helps some of our most vulnerable community members - victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault - all year long. Your gift is matched, creating an even bigger impact that allows us to reach more people with our life-saving services.
The Crisis Center's services are available 365/24/7, and all services are completely free. Residents in our safe shelter can stay as long as needed while they work with our advocates to rebuild their lives after escaping abuse in their own homes. All food, toiletries, and amenities are provided at no cost. We truly rely on support from our community to make this possible!
Our specific needs this year include:
- Utilities, maintenance/ repair, and insurance costs for the new shelter that are not otherwise covered by grants
- SafeBar Manhattan implementation costs
- SafeBar Manhattan will provide education and bystander intervention training to participating bars and drinking establishments, and will strengthen relationships that prioritize community safety. The goal is to keep both bar staff and patrons safer from predatory behavior, harassment, and sexual assault.
- Administration costs not otherwise covered by grants
