The League will offer Grants this year for women seeking assistance for leadership development, for organizations seeking funds for community members in need and for food or clothing items for community members in need.

Profile

The Junior League of the Flint Hills is an organization of women dedicated to making the communities of Manhattan, Wamego, and Junction City a better place to live by training our members to be effective, meaningful volunteers in the community. We are a membership of active and sustaining women who are dedicated to the long-standing tradition of Women Building Better Communities. In our history, we have committed many hours to multiple agencies in order to better our communities. Through a variety of community partnerships, JLFH members actively volunteer in the community. Our largest service event of the year is the Adopt-a-Family holiday season event. We team with community sponsors to assist families in need in our community.

In addition to supporting volunteer opportunities directly impacting women and children in the Flint Hills, Junior League members receive hands-on training and experience in mentoring, leadership, fundraising and skill development.
